In the past two to three years, the LLM education of the Law School has seriously implemented the educational ideology of the mission of Dongda University to establish moral education and the action of Dongda University to put students in the first place, firmly established the education concept of class is bigger than heaven and students are the first place, focused on cultivating students' firm ideals and beliefs, noble moral virtues, strong willpower, solid basic knowledge, profound humanities and excellent innovative qualities, and focused on enhancing students' thinking and discernment, learning, creativity and leadership. We focus on cultivating students' firm ideals and beliefs, noble moral sentiments, strong will, solid basic knowledge, profound humanistic qualities and excellent innovative qualities, and strive to enhance students' thinking, learning, creativity and leadership, and have made many new achievements.
1. Awarded two national online demonstration courses
Recently, the National Steering Committee of Postgraduate Education for Law Degrees announced the list of online model courses for postgraduate law degree students (Law Instruction Secret [2023] No. 2), and Criminal Law led by Dean Ouyang Benqi and Administrative Law and Administrative Litigation Law led by Vice Dean Xiong Zhanglin were successfully selected as the first batch of national online model courses in the field of LLM professional degree education. The successful selection of LLM online model courses is a new breakthrough in the construction of LLM courses in our school, which further demonstrates the high quality, high standard and high level of LLM courses in our school.
2. Won the first prize of national legal document writing competition
The National Legal Writing Competition is an important vehicle to show the practical ability and level of law degree students. In order to better prepare for the competition, our school organized a series of lectures on legal documents and invited experts and scholars to provide special counseling and guidance for the students. Finally, Zhang Xiaohan won the first prize of the 2022 National Legal Writing Competition for Law Degree Postgraduates after three rounds of competition, including the preliminary round, the final round and the final round, which demonstrated the strong legal logic and high practical ability of our LLM students.
3. Won the provincial excellent master's thesis for many times
In the past three years, several theses of our school were selected as excellent master's degree theses in Jiangsu Province. 2019 master's student Zhou Weidong won the excellent professional degree master's thesis in Jiangsu Province in 2020, and 2021 master's student Li Yuyan won the excellent professional degree master's thesis in Jiangsu Province in 2022. The selection of Jiangsu Outstanding Professional Master's Dissertation is a recognition of the cultivation of law degree postgraduates, and will further motivate the law school to improve the quality of LLM dissertations and cultivate high-level rule of law talents.
4. Awarded several projects of Jiangsu Province Postgraduate Practice Innovation Program
In the past three years, a number of LLMs in our school have been awarded the project support of Jiangsu Provincial Postgraduate Practice Innovation Program. Liu Xiaoning, Wu Ying and Yang Qingqing were awarded the project support of Jiangsu Provincial Postgraduate Practice Innovation Program in 2020, Cheng Scar was awarded the project support of Jiangsu Provincial Postgraduate Practice Innovation Program in 2021, and Tang Yuekun, Wang Ze and Lu Yang were awarded the project support of Jiangsu Provincial Postgraduate Practice Innovation Program in 2022. The projects show the solid practical innovation ability and practical talent of our LLM, and also highlight the mission of our school to focus on the hot and difficult issues of society.
After more than 20 years of development, the School of Law has continued to grow in scale and improve in quality, and has achieved fruitful results in LLM training. In the future, the School of Law will continue to develop a new situation with a vigorous and progressive attitude, effectively improve the quality of LLM training, and focus on cultivating highly qualified and practical legal talents with modern rule of law concepts.
