On March 2, 2023, Mr. Xing Jihong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Southeast University, visited the Law School for research and guidance on student work, and held a research seminar on student work in the conference room on the fourth floor of the Law School. Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean of the College of Law Liu Qichuan presided over the meeting. Mr. Xing Jihong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Southeast University, Mr. Wang Haoran, Secretary of the Office of the Party Committee of Southeast University and Mr. Mao Huixi, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Law attended the meeting, and full-time counselors Fei Qianqian and Wen Hao, part-time counselors Ma Jinfei and Li Yuanyuan attended the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Liu Qichuan reported the milestones of the student work of the Law School to Xing Jihong, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee. Under the care of the university and the leadership of Secretary Mao and Dean Ouyang, the student work of the law school has been aiming at creating a model point of Southeast University in the rule of law and insisting on implementing the philosophy of four ones. As the manager and service provider of students, we take the needs of students as the basis and the effectiveness of cultivation as the basis to identify problems and solve them. It has made great achievements in employment service, party and group construction, organization and education, social practice, and helping Nanhua, and has formed a student work model with the characteristics of the law school. Finally, Mr. Liu Qichuan expressed the new vision of moving forward to become a 'national team'.
Afterwards, Secretary Xing and full-time and part-time counselors discussed the needs of high-quality student training, award and merit evaluation procedures, and counselor work training, and expressed their affirmation of the Law School's leap from E to B to A in the assessment of student education work in three years. Secretary Xing and Secretary Mao also had an in-depth discussion on the issue of minority students joining the Party, emphasizing that the education of minority students should abide by the purpose of serving the Party and nurturing talent for the Party, and that more care should be given to the issue of joining the Party. Finally, Secretary Xing affirmed the excellent results and advanced experience of the law school in student work, praised the clear concept and systematic work of the law school, the independent team building, and the many honors it had won, and responded to the questions and expectations raised by the counselors and teachers, expressing the school's support and expectation for the student work of the law school.
