On the evening of March 31, 2023, Chen Hongbing, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of Southeast University Law School, was invited to Wuhan University Law School to give a lecture entitled The Mystery of Criminal Law Interpretation in Room 323 of Wuhan University Law School. The lecture was hosted by Professor He Rongong, Vice Dean of Wuhan University Law School. Associate Professor Ye Xiaoqin, Associate Professor Chen Jinlin and Teacher Cai Ying attended the lecture.
Vice Dean He Rongkong firstly welcomed Prof. Chen Hongbing and gave a brief introduction of his academic research and academic achievements.
After that, Prof. Chen Hongbing started his lecture. Focusing on the theme of this lecture, Professor Chen Hongbing used dozens of short and interesting criminal law issues as a vein, and talked about the interpretation and application of specific crimes, such as whether robbery with a fake gun is robbery with a gun, whether organizing male prostitution constitutes the crime of organizing prostitution, whether the act of buying drugs for sale constitutes the crime of drug trafficking The seminar introduced to the students many methods of interpretation of criminal law sub-clauses, clarified the principles of interpretation of criminal law sub-clauses, and deepened their understanding of criminal law sub-clauses and their understanding of criminal law sub-clauses.
