Prof. Ouyang Benqi was invited to participate in the 3rd National Young Criminal Law Scholars Practice Forum

On April 15-16, 2023, Professor Ouyang Benqi, Dean of Southeast University School of Law, was invited to participate in the 3rd National Young Criminal Law Scholars Practice Forum, which was held in Lecture Hall 120 of Wuhan University School of Law, with the theme of Theory and Practice of Bribery Crime. The forum was guided by the Chinese Society of Criminal Law, organized by the Virtual Criminal Law Course Research Office of the Ministry of Education and the Crime Research Center of Peking University, hosted by Wuhan University Law School, and co-organized by Yingke Law Firm and Wuhan University Mark Chang Law Foundation. Attending this forum were Jia Yu, Secretary of the Party Group and President of Shanghai High People's Court, Chen Xingliang, Boya Chair Professor of Peking University, He Rongkong, Professor of Wuhan University School of Law, and Che Hao, Professor of Peking University School of Law, and other famous criminal law scholars in China.
The first session of the forum, The Crime and Decriminalization of Bribery, was moderated by Cuiyun Bai, editor and reviewer of Chinese Jurisprudence, and the second presentation was given by Chunxiao Ma, associate professor of Nanjing University School of Law, on The nature of the norm and the interpretation of the system of emotional investment bribery. Professor Ouyang Benqi and Yi Mingqun, Executive Chairman of China Law Review, moderated the discussion session, together with Wu Xinbin, Director of the Legal Policy Research Office of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, Guo Zeqiang, Professor of the School of Criminal Justice of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Chen Shanshan, Associate Professor of Wang Jian Law School of Soochow University, and Yang Xufeng, Lecturer of the School of Criminal Justice of China University of Political Science and Law. Professor Gao Wei from Yunnan University School of Law and Roland Chen, Associate Editor-in-Chief of Rule of Law Research, also participated in the free discussion of academic views.
