On the morning of March 27, 2024, Chen Hongbing, professor and doctoral supervisor of Southeast University Law School, was jointly invited by the Criminal Law Professional Committee of Huashang Law Firm and the Vocational Training Working Committee of Shenzhen Lawyers Association to give a lecture on How to Find Arguments for Criminal Lawyers. The lecture attracted the active participation of many criminal defense lawyers and colleagues in the industry in Shenzhen, and the scene was warmly received and the audience was full.

In the lecture, Professor Chen Hongbing combined his many years of theoretical research on crime and rich practical experience in criminal defense, and proposed that the crime and punishment of the case should be judged comprehensively around the purpose, balance, coordination, system and practice of criminal law. And the concepts of the adaptation of crime and punishment and the implementation of behavior are fully elaborated. At the same time, Professor Chen Hongbing makes a distinction between the concepts of attention regulation and legal fiction in criminal law. Finally, for the analysis of one crime and several crimes, Professor Chen Hongbing believes that we should focus on the number of acts, and the number of acts here cannot be identified from the natural sense, but should be grasped from the normative sense.

Professor Chen Hongbing set a large number of vivid cases as the starting point, and explained the difficulties in understanding and applying the common key charges in the criminal law provisions, such as the definition of crime and non-crime, the discrimination of this crime and that crime, the identification of one crime and several crimes, the analysis of specific criminal acts and other major and difficult problems in practice.
Professor Chen Hongbing's unique views and opinions on the theory of the specific provisions of criminal law, as well as his humorous and passionate teaching style greatly influenced the colleagues attending the meeting. Although the time of the lecture is limited, everyone's enthusiasm for knowledge is still not reduced, and the professional atmosphere is strong, and the colleagues attending the meeting have said that they have gained a lot. The lecture was a complete success!
