On the afternoon of April 12th, the Elite Alumni Salon of the Career Development Hongtu Lecture Hall series of activities sponsored by the Career Guidance Center of Southeast University and hosted by the Law School was successfully held in the conference room on the fourth floor of the Law School of Kowloon Lake Campus. Associate Professor Xu Zhang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and deputy Dean of the Law School of Nanjing Audit University, was invited to give a lecture entitled Education and Scientific Research Work - Atypical Employment Options for Law Students. Chen Yun, Deputy secretary of the Party Committee and deputy Dean of the Law School, attended the lecture. Fei Qianqian, secretary of the Youth League Committee of the Law School and undergraduate counselor, presided over the lecture.

At the beginning of the activity, Ms. Fei extended a warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to Associate Professor Xu Zhang on behalf of the Law School, and introduced Associate Professor Xu Zhang's rich learning and working experience to the students in detail. Afterwards, Deputy Secretary Chen Yun welcomed the arrival of Associate Professor Xu Zhang, and hoped that the students would cherish the opportunity of learning and exchange, and through this lecture, have an in-depth understanding of teaching and research, which is an atypical employment choice for law students, and broaden the diversified development path of future career.

Associate Professor Xu Zhang first reviewed his study history in Southeast University Law School, and emphasized the importance of career planning based on his own experience. He points out that the lack of a clear career path can lead to significant sunk costs, including unnecessary consumption of personal time and energy.

Then, Associate Professor Xu Zhang stressed that legal professionals should understand their interests, strengths and weaknesses in employment selection, set clear short-term and long-term career goals, and think What do I like? What do I want? What do I get? These three questions for career planning.

Then, Associate Professor Xu Zhang shared the work characteristics and requirements of teaching and research posts, and ways and methods to improve teaching and research ability. He pointed out that teaching and scientific research is a job that allows people to grow and absorb nutrients. Job seekers need to have teaching organization ability, scientific research innovation ability, academic communication ability and teaching and educating ability. Students who are interested in this field can cultivate innovative thinking while forming their own academic style through more practice and imitation, and improve their scientific research ability.

Finally, in the exchange and questioning session, the students present asked Associate Professor Xu Zhang for advice on career positioning, job selection, university employment requirements and other aspects, and Associate Professor Xu Zhang patiently and carefully answered the questions in turn, and stressed that in career planning, it is necessary to closely combine their own interests and the chosen research direction, in order to maximize their personal value.

The lecture was successfully concluded with warm applause from teachers and students. The successful holding of this lecture not only made students understand the employment prospects and development space of law students in the field of education and scientific research, but also provided students with new career planning and development ideas, and further stimulated everyone's interest and enthusiasm for education and scientific research.
