In order to do a good job of declaring the 2024 National Social Science Foundation projects and further improve the quality of the project declaration, according to the work deployment of the Social Science Office and the College, the first round of argumentation meeting of the 2024 National Social Science Foundation projects of Southeast University School of Law was successfully held on 27th April. Wang Lusheng, Director of Social Science Office of Southeast University, Ouyang Benqi, Dean of Law School, and Xiong Zhanglin, Vice Dean of Law School, attended this meeting and participated in the argumentation as evaluation experts. Professor Song Xiao of Nanjing University, Professor Gao Zhihong of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Professor Wang Jinyuan, Professor Gong Xianghe, Professor Yang Dengfeng, Professor Hu Chaoyang, Professor Li Chuan, and Associate Professor Lu Lu of Southeast University were also invited as the members of the expert group to give guidance. The argumentation meeting was divided into two venues.
According to the arrangement of the discussion, each declared teacher reported the basic situation of his/her background of topic selection, framework structure, research ideas and so on in turn.
The reviewing experts combed through the declaration materials in detail, listened carefully to the report of the declaring teachers, and gave specific modification opinions from the aspects of topic selection, content, logic, framework and so on. Experts proposed to have a sense of the problem, should focus on specific issues and then dig deeper, and combined with the teachers' research direction to put forward constructive comments and suggestions.
This seminar has broadened the idea of topic selection for the declared teachers, provided valuable modification opinions, and helped them to further sort out the research content and consolidate the research foundation. The School of Law will continue to pay attention to the modification of the declared topics, provide accurate services for the whole process, assist the declared teachers to polish the declaration, improve the quality of the project declaration and increase the success rate of the project.
