On the afternoon of April 29, 2024, Professor Chen Jinzhao, Director of the Institute of Legal Methods of East China University of Political Science and Law and Editor-in-Chief of the CSSCI source journal Legal Methods, was invited to give a lecture on the topic of “Embedded Logic in Chinese Jurisprudence” for the students and faculty of the School of Law of the Southeast University in the conference room on the fourth floor of the School of Law of Southeast University Jiulonghu Campus. The lecture was co-sponsored by the Law School of Southeast University and Jiangsu Local Legislation Research Base, hosted by Prof. Meng Hongzhi, Distinguished Professor of Southeast University and Director of Jiangsu Local Legislation Research Base, and attended by Mr. Zhang Yunhao, Mr. Bi Wenxuan, Mr. Wu Dongxing, and students of the Law School.
Prof. Chen Jinzhao centered on the theme of “Chinese Jurisprudence Research Needs Embedded Logic”, “Specific Performance of Chinese Jurisprudence Research Lacking Logic”, “How to Embed Logic in Chinese Jurisprudence Research”, and “Chinese Jurisprudence Research Needs Embedded Logic”. “Prof. Chen Jinzhao made a wonderful and unique academic sharing on the theme of ‘Chinese Jurisprudence Research Needed to Embed Logic’, which was frequently applauded by all the teachers and students.
In the question and answer session, Prof. Chen Jinzhao answered the questions raised by the teachers and students about the jurisprudential construction of the rule of law system, the use of typology in jurisprudence research, and the interaction and synergy between dialectical logic and formal logic, etc., and answered the questions for the teachers and students.
In the academic summary session, Prof. Meng Hongzhi, on behalf of all teachers and students, expressed his heartfelt thanks to Prof. Chen Jinzhao for his visit to Southeast University, and delivered a wonderful academic commentary on the content of the lecture, and encouraged students to pay attention to jurisprudential research, and to lay a solid theoretical foundation for the study of the corresponding sectoral law.
